The talk introduces OMOP and OHDSI – the common data model, the standardised vocabularies, the open-source tools and federated analysis – and shows how OMOP is used in networks such as EHDEN and DARWIN EU and by hospitals around the world. It also covers the value and limitations of OMOP, what an organisation needs to implement it, how it fits alongside openEHR and HL7 FHIR, and where OMOP 4 Sweden stands today.
